GRADUATE STUDENTS

If you are interested in the psychophysiology of anxiety, emotion, stress, trauma, and personality we encourage you to apply. Our research includes measures of autonomic nervous system activity such as heart rate variability, and also other peripheral physiological variables such as eyeblink startle responding. Please contact Dr. Friedman for more information or to express interest in applying. Current projects can be found in tabs under the "Research" tab on this site. For more information on the Biological Psychology program, please visit the department’s webpage.

UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS

Undergraduate students working in the Mind Body lab earn field study credits by assisting with current lab projects. Some students may also conduct their own research for either undergraduate research or independent study credits. By working in the lab, you gain experience in psychophysiological research; some students have gone on to present their findings at national conferences. If you are interested in applying for a position, please complete the application form below. Once completed send the application to both lilyseah@vt.edu and smclafferty@vt.edu.
